CUCARD Westchester's Anxiety Day Program provides intensive and evidence-based treatment for adolescents struggling with anxiety, OCD, or school avoidance. The program typically lasts 8 weeks (about 2 months). We now offer a 5-day and 3-day weekly treatment schedule. Below please find information regarding treatment components and other helpful details:

Individual cognitive-behavioral therapy: Patients meet with their individual therapist 2-3 times weekly. These appointments are scheduled during the school day (9:30am-3pm).
Group cognitive-behavioral therapy: Groups teach and review anxiety management skills and guide group members in addressing their concerns and fears.
Medication Management: Weekly consultation with our child and adolescent psychiatrist to review current medication and adjust as needed.
Parent/Family Support: Regular consultation with a patient's parent/family members to provide support and guide parenting issues and other family concerns.
Academic Support: Individual consultation with our staff teacher to address academic concerns and opportunities to collaborate with a patient's school to optimize support.
Group members must participate in individual treatment (at least twice weekly) and medication management at CUCARD Westchester unless a separate arrangement is approved by our staff.
