Meredith Grossman is a clinical extern at the Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders. She graduated with honors from the University of Vermont with a B.A. in psychology. She received her masters in education (Ed.M.) in school psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University. She will be receiving her doctorate in school psychology from Teachers College upon completion of her pre-doctoral psychology internship and dissertation.
Ms. Grossman has worked with children in a multitude of settings, including several diverse schools. She provides individual, family, and group therapy to children, adolescents, and young adults suffering with anxiety and anxiety-related disorders. Ms. Grossman’s broad research interests include anxiety disorders in children. Her dissertation investigates the nature of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in children that have been traumatized through intentional (e.g., physical assault) and unintentional (e.g., natural disaster) means.
Ms. Grossman is a member of several professional societies, including the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapy, the American Psychological Association, and the National Association of School Psychologists.
